Senior Golf

The Senior Gents meet every Tuesday morning for a sociable round of golf. We extend our welcome to other players who may not have yet reached a normal level of seniority, but who are available to play and don't mind being tolerant of our little foibles!

During the winter months we start at 10am and during the summer at 9.30am.

Once a month we play a Senior Medal competition, giving us a chance to obtain or carefully maintain our SGU handicaps. The dates of these competitions are listed on the fixtures page. On the other Tuesdays we use our own Senior Handicap which moves more rapidly in an attempt to stop any one person winning too often!

The results of Senior medals are listed along with the results of all other club competitions on the results page. Other Senior competitions are listed below:

Christmas Salver
2013 Iain Philp
2014 Neil Cameron (16 December 2014, Gairloch)

2015 Pete Meredith (29th December, Gairloch)

Winter Eclectic
2013/14 Rob Howard

2015/16 John D MacDonald

LADIES:  The ladies section have a 'Tuesday Ladies' informal 9-hole Stableford competition off the red tees every Tuesday morning, following the Senior Gents.  (From 10.00 in the summer and 10.30 in winter)  This is run by Elna Lawrie.  A competition handicap is not required and it is a great way to get to know the ladies and to improve your golf.  All are made very welcome.
